Meet Sandra
Sandra Castillo is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving Orange County. Her journey began in 2010 as a caregiver in assisted living, and has grown through every rung of psychiatric nursing — CNA, RN, ICU nurse during the pandemic, travel nurse, home health, and nursing instructor.
"I became a nurse to find purpose — to go home each day knowing I helped my community. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I get to keep doing that, helping people understand their mental health and meeting them where they are."
Sandra especially loves working across cultures. Growing up she saw how beautiful culture can be — and how it can sometimes delay families from understanding what a loved one is going through. Her practice is built to bridge that gap with warmth and clarity.
Credentialed in California, Alaska, and Idaho — in person in Santa Ana and by telehealth across all three states.
Fourteen years across every level of psychiatric care — from bedside to advanced practice.
Mental health work chosen with purpose — every visit an opportunity to truly help.
Culturally-aware, judgment-free care that meets you where you are, on your terms.
